The USA leads the world in obesity and morbid obesity. The costs to our healthcare industry from this condition are astronomical. Redux was a member of the fen-phen family of drugs designed to combat obesity. While all of the drugs did produce results in the area of weight loss, there were serious costs. The drugs on their own were tested and were considered safe. However, no one tested the effects of combining the drugs.
